A leader of Teachers' Association in Iran is behind the bars!

Mohammad Habibi, a well known leader of teachers protest movement and a leading member of their association, Iranian Teachers' Association, was sentenced to 7 and half years jail terms and other corporal punishment. Habibi is no stranger to Islamic regime of Iran's so called justice system. He had been arrested and detained several times prior to his last arrest. He had appealed his 7 and half year jail term as well as 74 lashes to be given publicly; which was handed to him in late September of 2018, but the term was confirmed on December 24th with no reduction to them.
Islamic regime of Iran is facing daily protests from every section of wager-earners, including retirees, factory workers, farm workers, teachers, nurses, etc. The only answer it is providing the protesters is repression: jailing them and pressuring organizers. We need to expose the crimes that this regime is committing against these organizers and the labour activists. Labour movement needs its sisters and brothers support internationally.
