Early this morning, December 12th, 2020, the Islamic Republic of Iran executed Roohollah Zam, an Iranian political dissident who had fled Iran a few years ago, fearing for his life, and resided in France. Roohollah travelled to Iraq in 2019 and was arrested at the airport by the Iraqi authorities at the behest of the Iranian Islamic regime. He was handed to the Iranian security forces operating in that country and was transferred to Iran, where after repeated tortures, he “confessed” to spying for the Islamic regime’s foreign enemies and was sentenced to death.
Aside from this particular case, this is the Islamic Republic of Iran in nutshell! A regime of abduction, hostage-taking, execution, cruelty, women killing, on and on and on! This is a regime that everyone has to kneel down before its god or face such cruelty as Mr. Zam went through.
This regime, however, is facing a society that has decided to put an end to all these. They showed their determination in mass protests of 2009 – 2010 to get rid of this regime of madness and cruelty. They showed it again in 2017 – 2018 and again in 2019 – 2020.
